Students with disabilities can take College Board tests—including the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, SAT Subject Tests, and Advanced Placement® (AP) Exams—with accommodations, as long as the accommodations are approved by the College Board’s Students with Disabilities Services (SSD) through our official request process.
Most students work with their school to submit accommodations requests to us. Many schools have an SSD coordinator who submits requests through SSD Online and helps students obtain their SSD eligibility number.
The College Board offers a wide range of accommodations, such as large-print and braille test books, tests in MP3 audio format, and extended time. Once a student is approved to use accommodations on a College Board test, the accommodations are guaranteed—as long as SSD deadlines are met.
