Updates and Important Dates

Updated monthly, these are the most current updates and reminders:

Fall 2026 SAT Weekend Registration

Registration for SAT Weekend for fall 2026 is now open. Registration for spring 2027 is expected to open in October.

Seats will fill up quickly so encourage students to register as soon as they can. In response to educator feedback, test centers were given the option to hold a portion of their seats for attending students until six weeks before each administration’s registration deadline. If your school is a test center, contact your school’s SAT Weekend coordinator to see if your school is holding seats for your students. If your school isn’t a test center and you’re interested, learn more.

SAT Weekend Waitlist

Starting with fall 2026 administrations, students can take advantage of our new Waitlist to make it easier to find a test center closer to home. If nearby centers are full as they register, students can pre-register to be automatically slotted in an open seat at a test center within their chosen distance as new seats become available. Enhanced Tailored Practice

Students now have access to tailored practice based on their performance on SAT Suite tests, in addition to full-length practice tests. For students with a College Board account, the enhanced tailored practice offering will be a part of the additional insights available in the online student score report.

This addition to our practice resources provides students with actionable insights, and a clear path to prepare for their next test. Learn more about SAT practice.

Bluebook Testing on Chromebooks

As you may know, students can only run Bluebook™ on school-managed Chromebooks. Starting with the August SAT administration, all Chromebooks must have Verified Mode enabled. Please remind students to test their device before test day to ensure Verified Mode is enabled. Students can't update this setting on their own. If verified mode isn’t enabled, they’ll need to get help at school to apply the required settings. Learn more.
