SAT School Day, the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, PSAT 8/9, and AP Exams are given in schools during school hours. The schools or districts must coordinate the test. Tasks include assembling rosters of test takers, ordering and returning test materials, requesting accommodations from the College Board for students with disabilities, arranging testing rooms, and appointing proctors.
The SAT, which is administered nationally seven times a year, is given in test centers on a Saturday (except in certain cases). Students register themselves; counselors may encourage students to register and help them with the process.
